00:10: When you or a TA create a peer-review, graded discussion, you can assign
00:14: peer reviews manually, or you can have canvas assign them automatically.
00:19: When a peer review has been assigned, students can view a notification in their Dashboard
00:23: To Do sidebar or Activity Stream. Students will also receive an email
00:27: notification. Peer reviews are automatically assigned only to students who have
00:31: completed the discussion requirements.
00:34: To complete a peer review, students must review the discussion and leave a comment
00:38: on the submission details page. Students cannot view previously submitted
00:42: comments by any other reviewers, including comments by TAs or
00:46: other instructors.
00:49: You can also assign a rubric to the graded discussion.
00:51: If the discussion includes a rubric, students must only complete the rubric
00:56: to complete the peer review. However, you can choose to ask your students to
01:00: also leave a comment in the comment sidebar. The rubric score is used
01:04: for an assessment opinion only; you must review the graded discussion and
01:08: assign the final grade.
01:11: Students do not receive a grade for completing a peer review.
01:14: If you want to assign extra points for peer reviews, you can create a
01:18: no submission assignment in the Gradebook and assign points manually the
01:22: peer-review page for the discussion will show the names of students who have completed the
01:26: peer review.
