SpeedGrader is updated for faster load times, enhanced stability, and the following features:
- A streamlined interface for the Section drop-down menu.
- A clearer and more prominent No Submission alert.
- An improved interface for courses without content.
- The Submission Status is updated to a drop-down menu.
- Rubrics are automatically displayed in the traditional view.
- Media attachments and submission comments are moved and the delete icon is changed.
- A Comment Library filter.
- Support for moderated grading
- The Assignment Comment Editor supports images, math, and course links.
- A Multi-Select Sections filter.
By default, the Performance and Usability Upgrades for SpeedGrader feature option is enabled for all institutions. Admins can manage this feature at the account or sub-account level. If unlocked, instructors can manage the feature at the course level.

Open SpeedGrader
Open SpeedGrader from the assignment.
View Sections
To view all sections, click the Showing: All Sections drop-down menu.
In the Sections drop-down menu, select the desired section [1]. Then, click Apply to filter multiple submissions at once [2].
View No Submission Status
If the student has not submitted an attempt, the No submission message displays.
View Empty Course Text
If the course has no content, the Empty course? message displays.
View Assignment Status
To edit the submission status, click the Status drop-down menu.
View Rubric Display
Rubrics automatically display in the traditional view.
Note: When the Enhanced Rubric feature option is enabled, you can choose additional rubric views.
