How do I message an instructor at the course level in Accessibility Analytics?

Intelligent Insights is a legacy add-on product. Its advanced analytics are available in Canvas Plus and Canvas Next and its AI-powered Insights (IgniteAI Ask Your Data) are available in Canvas Next.

When accessibility issues turn up in a specific course, you can reach out directly to that course's instructors without leaving Accessibility Analytics. This keeps the conversation tied to the course data you're reviewing and makes follow-up faster.

From the Course Risk Assessment section, open any course to access the Message Teacher(s) option. You can compose your message using available templates and variables, preview how it will display to recipients, and send it to all instructors on the course. Recipients are added to the BCC field to keep individual addresses private.

How do I message an instructor at the course level in Accessibility Analytics?

1. Open Accessibility Analytics

In the Intelligent Insights dropdown menu, click the AccessibilityAnalytics link.

2. Open Individual Course

In Course Risk Assessment section, click a course title link to open the detailed course risk assessment

3. Message Course Teacher(s)

To message course instructors, click the MessageTeacher(s) button.

4. Message Teacher

In the Message Teachers popup window, all instructor recipients are listed in the BCC field.

5. Enter Subject and Message

Next, use the available template or variables to enter the subject and message you want to send to instructors.

6. Open Message Preview

To preview your message, click the Preview button.

7. View Message Preview

A preview of the message displays the first recipient (if multiple recipients) on the list.

8. Confirm Send Message

Click the Send button to deliver your message to all selected instructors.
