You can submit a new feature contribution through the Collaborative Roadmap space specific to each product family. The contribution feature allows users to initiate conversations about improvements or enhancements to Instructure product functionality, but they are just one of many feedback resources considered by Instructure product teams during the feature development process. Contributions are found in the Roadmap section of each product menu or from product landing pages throughout the Community. Learn more about the feature contribution process.
Note: To create a new contribution in the Instructure Community, you must be logged in to the Community. You can log in using Canvas or Mastery Connect.
Open Roadmap
In the Global Navigation menu, click the Product Resources drop-down menu [1]. Then, click a Product Family Roadmap link [2].
You can also view roadmaps via the the Product Connection page. Click a Product Family button [1].
To view the Canvas roadmap, click the Canvas Collaborative Roadmap button [2].
To view the Mastery Connect roadmap, click the Mastery Collaborative Roadmap button [3].
To view the Parchment roadmap, click the Parchment Collaborative Roadmap button [4].
To view the Platform roadmap, click the Platform Collaborative Roadmap button [5].
View Existing Opportunities
By default, you can view all existing contributions in the Contributions feed [1].
To view contributions that are available in production, click the Released tab [2].
To view contributions that are incomplete or need clarification, click the Coming Soon tab [3].
To view contributions that are actively being prioritized, click the Active Development tab [4].
To view contributions that are evaluated and prioritized based on your input, click the Under Consideration tab [5].
To view your existing contributions, click the My Contributions tab [6].
Open Opportunity
To indicate the level of importance, click the Must have [1], Nice to have [2], or Not interested [3] buttons.
Share Your Thoughts
To share your feedback about importance, enter your message in the We'd love to hear more of your thoughts... field[1]. Then, click the Submit button [2].
Share a Contribution
If your need isn't listed on the roadmap, you can Share a Contribution.
Note: You must be logged in to the Instructure Community to share a contribution.
Submit Your Contribution
Enter your new contribution in the What problem are you trying to solve? field [1].
To view roadmap items that may be related to your contribution, view the Do these match anything you're looking for? sidebar [2].
You must assign the importance of your contribution. To indicate that the contribution is essential, click the Must have button [3]. To indicate if the contribution is supplementary, click the Nice to have button [4].
Click the Submit button [5].
