Open Question
Select the question where you want to add a comment.
To reply to the question, click the Post Comment button.
Note: Depending on the amount of comments, you may have to scroll down to find the text field and button.
Enter your comment in the Comment field [1].
You can use the Rich Content Editor to format your comment and add content. The toolbar options allow you to:
- Format text, create lists, insert links, add code snippets, create quotes, and access additional formatting options [2]
- Insert images, embedded content, files, tables, and emojis [3]
To submit your comment, click the Post Comment button [4].
To discard your comment, click the Discard Reply button [5].
Mention User
To mention a user, type the @ symbol on your keyboard, then enter the name [1]. Select the user [2] to mention them in your comment.
Add Links
To add links in your comment, type and highlight your text [1], and then click the Format as Link icon [2].
Paste the link in the URL field [1]. You can also edit the highlighted text on the Text to Display field [2]. Then, click the Add Link button [3].
Left-click the linked text to format it as text [2], a button [3], a rich link [4], or a card [5]. You can also view the link's page [6], edit the link or display text [7], or remove the link [8].
Upload Image
To upload an image, click the Image icon.
To display photo formatting options, click your uploaded image [1]. The toolbar features Centered [2], Large [3], Link Image to URL [4], Copy Image [5], Accessibility [6], and Delete Image [7] buttons.
Note: The Centered [2] and Large [3] buttons adjust their icons and labels to match the images default formatting.
Click the Centered button [1] to choose how your image aligns with text: Float Left [2], Centered [3], or Float Right [4].
Click the Large button [1] to choose the image's size: Inline [2], Small [3], Medium [4], or Large [5].
Click the Link Image to URL button [1]. Enter the URL [2]. Then, click the Save link [3].
Click the Accessibility button [1]. Enter your alt text [2]. Then, click the Save link [3].
Insert Video
Click the Insert Media icon [1]. Enter your video URL [2], then click the Insert link [3].
Left-click the video to format it as a text link [2], display as a button [3], a rich link [4], or a card [5]. You can also view the video's link [6], edit the link [7], or remove the link [8].
Your comment displays in the question's Replies section.
Edit Reply
Once a reply is published, the time limit to edit it depends on your community rank:
- Newcomers: Up to 1 minute
- All Other Members: Up to 5 minutes
To edit a reply, click the ReplyOptions icon [1] and click the Edit link [2].
