Interest Hubs in the Instructure Community are a great place to discuss particular interests, read best practices, and reach a global community of other people who share your interest in a variety of topics. You can follow blogs or discussions within an interest hub to be notified when new content or comments are posted in the specific areas.

Open Groups
In the Navigation menu, hover over or click the Groups tab [1].
The Groups menu displays a list of Interest Hubs and User Groups [2]. To select a hub or group, click the name of a hub or group [3].
Locate a Group or Hub
On the Groups page you can find My Groups [1], Feature Groups and Focused User Groups [2],and Interest Hubs [3]. Scroll through the list to locate a group. Then, to view more information about the group, click the group tile [4].
The My Groups section shows any user groups you are part of in the Instructure Community. User groups include regional groups, product testing initiatives, and other specific groups. User Groups are generally invite-only.
The Feature Groups and Focused User Groups section allows you to access all user groups on one page. The User Groups page displays groups that are available to join and any groups you have already joined.
The Interest Hubs section shows spaces to allow you to explore best practices, ask questions, and connect with peers about roles, products, and topics that matter to you.
Follow Interest Hub Content
On the interest hub's page, view Group Content section[1] and click the Notification button to follow the hub's categories, such as the hub blog or discussion forum [2].
Select Notification Preferences
When you click to follow a specific category, you can select notification preferences. Default notification preferences are set automatically and can be updated in your profile settings.
To update your notification preferences, select a checkbox to update your preference [1]. Checkboxes under the Alert icon allow you to receive pop-up notifications when you visit the Community site [2]. Checkboxes under the Inbox icon allow you to receive email notifications [3]. Preferences are saved automatically
Open Interest Hub Category
You can also open a specific category within the interest hub to follow the category and set notification preferences for that category. To open a category within the interest hub, click a category tile.
Follow Interest Hub Category
On the selected tile's page, click the Follow button.
Note: Following through Group Content or the group board works the same.
View Notification Preferences
To view Notification Preferences, click the Follow or Following button [1].
Select the checkboxes [2] to enable popup notifications [3] and email notifications [4].
View Followed Interest Hubs
You can view your followed interest hubs and other categories from your profile and settings page.
To view your profile settings, click your profile picture in the Navigation menu [1] and click the Account & Privacy Settings link [2].
Click the Followed Content link [1]. In the Followed Content section [2], you can manage notification preferences for followed interest hubs and other followed categories.
