When I remove a module from one of my CANVAS courses does it disappear? If not where does it go?

Yes, deleting a module will remove it from your course entirely.
How do I delete a module?
As you can see from the blue box at the top of that Guide, if you delete a module from your course, any content you had within that module is not deleted. You can still find those items in their respective areas of your Canvas course: Pages, Discussions, Assignments, Quizzes, etc.

When you are creating a quiz and/or also reviewing a quiz in Canvas after the class has taken it, the questions aren't numbered so after you get past the first few questions, there is no way to even tell what number you are on. Can someone change that?

We are all familiar with the standard Course Calendar, where assignment due dates are automatically added.
