Interest Hubs in the Instructure Community are a great place to discuss particular interests, read best practices, and reach a global community of other people who share your interest in a variety of topics.
Creating a new discussion or asking a question within an Interest Hub is a great way to introduce new thoughts to the Instructure Community and generate conversations.
You can create a new discussion or ask a question
Open Group
To open an interest hub, click the Groups link[1] in the top navigation menu, then select the name of the hub in the Interest Hubs section [2].
Open Discussion Forum
On the Interest Hub landing page, click the Discussions tile to access the discussion forum in the Interest Hub.
Note: Some interest hub landing pages may look different, but all interest hubs have a discussion forum.
Click the Ask a Question button.
View Create Post
The discussion forum where you are posting is automatically selected in the Category drop-down menu [1].
To select between Discussion, Idea, or Question, click the Post Type drop-down menu [2].
To add a title, edit the Discussion Title field [3].
To add text, edit the Body field [4].
To add a header, bulleted or numbered list, quote, code block, spoilers and callouts, click the Element Toolbar icon [5].
To add emojis, click the Emoji Picker icon [6].
To add an image, click the Image icon [7].
To insert or embed media from an external source, click the Insert Media icon [8].
To attach a file, click the Add Attachment icon [9].
To add a table, click the Insert Table icon [10]. You can add more rows and columns after you insert a table.
To add tags, click the Tags drop-down menu [11]. To automatically add popular tags, select any applicable tag buttons in the Add Popular Tag section [12].
To save your post as a draft, click the Save as Draft button[13].
To post your draft, click the Post button [14].
