Wrong syllabus in copied syllabus

I've copied my Spring 2026 canvas course into the Summer 2026 canvas shell of the same course. My course is NURS 709. However, when going through the copied course, the syllabus for NURS 805 is in there, and many of the copied Announcements are about NURS 805. How do I get out the 805 content without destroying someone else's 805 course? and how do It get my 709 content into the 709 canvas shell?

This might be a little hard to troubleshoot since we cannot see the contents of your Canvas course to fully assist. However, prior to importing your Spring 2026 course into your Summer 2026 course, did you double-check that your Summer 2026 course was empty? If so, when you imported (copied) the content from the Spring course into the Summer course, this would ensure that no other content from other courses would somehow get copied into the Summer course too (which, by the way, would be super rare).

I'd really recommend reaching out to your school's Canvas administrator to do more troubleshooting with this. There's several different scenarios I'm thinking of such as if the instructor NURS 805 course is also enrolled in your Summer course, possibly manually deleting the content that shouldn't be in the Summer course, and as a last resort doing a full course reset to clean out the course and try importing from your Spring course again. But, I'd highly suggest you reach out to your school's Canvas admin to discuss the best option that is going to cause the least issues.
