Is there any means to have a rubric default to filled out to 100%? We are using the rubric with over 20+ entries and the result is a large quantity of clicking per student.
Hi @halander1,
I don't think this is possible right now, but you could certainly submit this as an idea. While the Instructure Community forums are a great place to continue to ask how-to questions or for troubleshooting, there is a new dedicated space for ideas, the Collaborative Roadmap.
Posting your idea to the new Collaborative Roadmap will ensure your feedback reaches appropriate Instructure Product Managers and teams developing the products, and doesn’t get lost here in the general forums. Please explore the new dedicated Product Connection space, which includes the Collaborative Roadmap. You can read Shiren's blog post for a full look at how the Collaborative Roadmaps give you a clearer view of what’s coming soon, what’s in development, and what’s under consideration.
🚩 I’m marking this response as the "Answer" to help guide other users with ideas or feature requests to the right place.

Hello @halander1 - do you know if you have the Enhanced Rubric feature option enabled? I am asking as within is a wonderful feature that permits instructors the ability to download the rubric for all students in a single .csv file, make edits within the .csv file using Excel, for example. And then upload the completed rubric for all students. I believe this is the timesaver you are looking for.

Hi Jeff,
This is a lot better than nothing but causes difficulties with removing points and knowing what each category is.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention

Check out my Chrome Extenstion, it will allow you to do exactly that: Speed Rubric Grader (Canvas LMS)
Once installed, open an assignment and you’ll see a new button above the rubric to launch the extension. Open it, load the data, and you’ll get a ⚡ button next to each student—click it to set all criteria to either full marks or zero instantly
In case you missed my earlier reply, check out my Chrome extension here. It lets you do exactly that: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/speed-rubric-grader-canva/oekhapobblfhhagnipdghdebkhbhpbil
Thanks. I'll check it out!
A colleague asked me how to reuse the questions from the 14 quizzes he has already created as a large question pool to draw questions from for a cumulative exam. Each of the 14 quizzes has multiple question groups, and none of them was linked to a question bank at the time of creation. The best thing I could find is the…
Summary:The Learning Mastery Gradebook allows drag-and-drop reordering of outcome columns, and this triggers a call to /api/v1/courses/:course_id/assign_outcome_order. The API returns 204 No Content (success), but the column order does not persist after page refresh. Steps to Reproduce: Open Learning Mastery Gradebook for…
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
We have recently encountered an issue where two students were unable to see the "Take the Quiz" button. These students were taking different exams for different courses within our Testing Center. Both exams required Respondus LockDown Browser and were restricted to specific IP addresses. In both cases, the students were…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
