We use course pacing to manage due dates, because we run ~20 something courses each quarter and manually setting due dates would be a nightmare.
Several courses have two core topics. We want to allow students to choose which of these they will pursue first. Is there any way to configure multiple course paces with different assignment ordering? Is there any other way to offer students discretion in which order they tackle topics? We tried using differentiation tags, but the instructor found manually tagging students to be onerous, and that's it's not compatible with Course Pacing anyway.
Some other courses are centered around performing tasks on similar but subtly different physical objects. We would like for students to be able to submit the quiz that is aligned with their object so that they will receive appropriate feedback. I know Mastery Paths has some similar features, but they are all based on performance on prior assignments rather than free choice. Mastery Paths also only allows 3 logical-OR for any given score, which is pretty limiting. Surely there must be a way to allow students to choose any one of a set of tasks to complete?
