We have recently encountered an issue where two students were unable to see the "Take the Quiz" button. These students were taking different exams for different courses within our Testing Center. Both exams required Respondus LockDown Browser and were restricted to specific IP addresses.
In both cases, the students were testing at a different time than the rest of the class, so the "Assign to" feature was used to provide them with custom dates and times. We have opened tickets regarding this, but have not yet received an explanation.
We attempted the following troubleshooting steps without success:
- Standard sign-in and access attempt.
- Removing the "Assign to" settings and manually unlocking the test.
- Renaming the test after the student signed out.- Removing the IP address restriction.
-Created a copy of the quiz assigned only to the specific student with an end date set to end of day today
We finally found a workaround: Go to Moderate This Quiz and select the "manually unlock the quiz for the next attempt" setting, even though the exam was only assigned to this particular student and the dates were correct on the "copied exam"
Has anyone else experienced this, or have any suggestions for us besides making copies of exams for specific students every time the button is missing?
