Announcement DRAFT suggestion

While typing an Announcement, sometimes midway, we need to check something for which we click on Grades or Assignments. Then when we return to Announcements, what we types simply disappears.

It will be very helpful to have a DRAFT option under Announcements so that the unfinished message is not lost.

@RajPrakash64059440 - for this reason as well as for grading I prefer to use two or more monitors. That way I can leave the page I am editing and refer to another monitor to check on something else.

Another approach I've used it so first set the Delayed Post date for a date in the future. I can then save my draft announcement, and it will not post for student view.

I don't use two monitors. The idea of "delayed post date" is a valid idea and that solves my problem. I already tested it.

Something to keep in mind for what @Jeff_F recommended is that students in the course will be able to see when the announcement was originally created and when it was last edited.

In my opinion, a draft option would be great and the posted date is what is seen (I think the actual creation date should be visible in the API) when the announcement "goes live".
