Clarification on sending another teacher my course content.

Question

My school will be getting a new teacher who’s never taught a course, so I just will share my assignments/quizzes with them.

I know of the Send To feature, but if I do that for a quiz with item banks, will they have the control to edit the item banks on their end without editing my original item banks (meaning it gets copied to them instead of shared)? Do I need to send the individual item banks too?

I see I can also send a Module, does that send everything inside so I don’t have to send them individually (or does it literally just send the Module container and nothing inside it)?

Hi @mzkm !

With the item banks… I'm pretty sure they will have access to edit the item banks, but it will also edit yours. I recommend duplicating one of your item banks and then sharing it with the instructor so yours stays the same just to be safe.

With sharing modules, when you send the instructor a module, it will include everything inside of that module as well!

I hope this helps!

I tested this with a colleague, and using "send to" with a New Quiz appears to create a duplicate copy of the Item Bank in which the quiz questions were located for the recipient. Changes to questions made by the recipient did not affect the original quiz or Item Bank.
