Adding .sql, .java, .py, .c file types so that they can be viewed by Canvas viewer

Hi,

I have checked the currently available files types that can be viewed directly in Canvas Viewer.

.doc, .pdf, .txt, etc.

As we teach programming and databases, the addition of text based files with extensions .java, .py, .c. .sql would speed up our marking process somewhat.

Could they be added on the same basis as the .txt files?

The attached file initially had a .sql extension, and is editable by any text editor.

Please advise.

Hi @trevor_stone ...

This would be a request that you could make via the feature idea process here in the Canvas Community.  However, just be aware that the entire idea process is currently on hold at the moment while a new process is being worked on by Canvas Community Mangers.  I don't know exactly when the new process will be put in place, however.  There are a few links that I can point you to related to all of this:
