Issue: Google LTI 1.3 Assignments Not Saving When Edited

Problem

Canvas is not persisting the Google LTI 1.3 connection when editing existing assignments. This issue has been confirmed across multiple users.

Symptoms

Error message: "Page Error: Something broke unexpectedly. If you have a moment, click here to tell us what happened"
Some users may initially see: "Google Workspace LTI isn't set up correctly" (even though the integration is configured correctly)
The issue occurs specifically when editing assignments linked to existing Google LTI 1.3 resources
Workaround

Until this is resolved:
1. Create Google LTI assignments from scratch each time
2. Do not edit existing Google assignments - the connection will not persist
3. To modify an assignment: Create it as a new assignment and delete the old one
