Why can't some students access their peer reviews

Hi! I've seen this question asked over the years and have never seen an answer to it beyond "have students follow the video guide." Every quarter I have a couple of students who can't access the peer papers they've been assigned to review. I can see that they've been assigned papers to review, and so can Canvas support.

A few times, asking the student to access Canvas through a web browser instead of the app works  — but not in most cases. I've sent the students to student Canvas support, and I've worked with instructor Canvas support, and no one seems to be able to figure out what's wrong.

Has anyone had this problem and figured out how to fix it? I'm really tired of fielding it.

Thanks, Dianna, Unfortunately, it isn't machine specific.  My university IT department says that if they look at it as any student who's having this problem, they can't see the problem either. And I've tried asking students to try friends' machines, library machines, phone (or if they're already using the phone, using a laptop instead), and web browser/app switches. But nothing seems to help. I've seen some other posts online that mention the same problem but no one seems to have a work around :( So frustrating for the students!

I know issues like this can be very frustrating. I've not had this specific issue before, but in our case—I work in K12—issues like this are often related to our filtering or the managed device the student is using.  Depending on what your situation is related to this, perhaps someone at the local level can help you with the problem solving.
