Is there a way to listen to audio direct from Canvas? Currently, when I click to listen to submitted audio it automatically downloads onto my computer.
Hey @JenniferRoss86 could you please confirm how the student submitted the audio file (for example, recorded directly in Canvas or uploaded as a file)? If possible, please include a screenshot or any additional details that might help us better understand the issue. Thanks.
Hi @JenniferRoss86,
I do not believe this is possible with native functionality in the Canvas LMS but @RieleeVelasco would know more about that.
Do you know if your institution has access to Canvas Studio, which is a separate platform (although made by Instructure, the makers of the Canvas LMS) and an additional fee?
I ask because Canvas Studio supports audio file types (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Studio-Guide/What-file-formats-does-Canvas-Studio-support/ta-p/1676) and students would be able to submit using Canvas Studio (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Studio-Guide/How-do-I-submit-Canvas-Studio-media-as-a-File-Upload-assignment/ta-p/1677).

I recently discovered an error in a quiz question for an exam my students have already taken. I want to regrade that question so that anyone who had that question in their Quiz would get a point regardless of their answer since it was not possible to answer it given the choices. Unfortunately, as best I can tell, because…
I assigned the first draft of an assignment. Each student got rubric comments from me and from one peer. The Speed Grader view gives me a "Select Rubric" menu, allowing me to toggle between my comments and the peer comments. But the Gradebook's "Bulk Download Rubrics" command generates a CSV file with only the peers'…
Hi all, I'm looking to see if this has happened for anyone else. A student completed a Classic Quiz and one question was counted wrong that should not have been. In the quiz settings, the instructor entered 9 possible answers for this question. The student entered one of these answers. However, that particular question was…
Looking for the addition of partial credit for alternative format questions in Canvas, like ordering and category/matrix. We can only do it in close drop down, matching, and multiple response.
Has anyone found gaps in their course analytics ? I'm currently seeing missing last view date, last participation date, and participations at overall course level, even though the same data is present at individual week and student level. Am also seeing truncated asset counts ie we are seeing only the global header counts,…
