notes not saving

This looks to be a bug. In my 600 FCS class, I’ll enter a short text, but it is not saving. Stopped working about 3 weeks ago. Seems to be the only class where this is happening. Help?

Just to be sure, are you a teacher and referring to the Notes column in the gradebook, or something else entirely?

If you are following the guidance in the How do I use the Notes column in the Gradebook? - Instructure Community - 940 support article and it is not working, my few recommendations would be to:

clear your history, cookies, and cache (https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/clear-cache-history-cookies)
update your web browser (https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/how-to-update-your-browser)
make sure that cookies are enabled (https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/how-to-enable-cookies)
confirm that JavaScript is enabled (https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/how-to-enable-javascript)
make sure that you do not have any extensions, plugins, or add-ons added to your web browser that could cause conflicts
1. easiest way to try and figure that out is to use incognito or private browsing and see if the problem still happens (https://www.computerworld.com/article/1719851/how-to-go-incognito-in-chrome-firefox-safari-and-edge.html)
2. if using incognito/private browser solves the problem, an extension might be causing a conflicting and you would need to turn each one off and see if that solves the problem (

If that does not solve the problem, I would recommend that you contact Canvas Support directly or work with your school's Canvas team.

When you are creating a quiz and/or also reviewing a quiz in Canvas after the class has taken it, the questions aren't numbered so after you get past the first few questions, there is no way to even tell what number you are on. Can someone change that?
