how do you delay an announcement

Hi,

In my facility education, I was told that announcements can be pre-written and delayed for later posting. However, I do not see this option. 

There is an option for the primary theory instructor to do this with announcements.

I am a clinical instructor. I do not see this option when I send announcements to my clinical group. I will provide a screenshot of what I see.

I would love to make announcements ahead of time and post them on the dates needed. This would be more efficient.

Please refer to the  How do I add an announcement in a course? - Instructure Community - 1194  support article (it also includes a video) and its "Set Display Dates" section.

That section of the support article explains the "Availabile from" and "Until" options. One of the notes for that section of the support article says: "To delay the posting of your announcement, schedule the announcement to be available at a future date."

If it does not help you, your role as a clinicial instructor might have permissions that are not high enough and you would need to consult with your institution's Canvas team.
