I've clicked on the New Message alert button in Chat, but when students send a message in Chat, I haven't been notified. Where should I see an alert?

To receive audio alerts for new chat messages, click the New message alerts button [2]. You will receive audio alerts if Chat is open in Canvas but is not the active browser window. You will not receive alerts if you leave Chat to view another area in Canvas....
Note: Alert capabilities may vary between browsers.
i.e. you get audio alerts in limited situations.
Is it possible to for anyone (student or instructor) to delete a comment on a grade? If so, is there a log on the backend showing that it was deleted?

Among all the things that I wish Canvas had is that one! Is it something that is been worked on? We had it in Blackboard (legacy) and I sorely miss and need in Canvas (we just transitioned to it from Bb). Please add this very needed feature!
