I have a problem with my canvas teacher account. The app does not allow me to create new announcements for my classes. What can I do? Does anybody else have the same difficulty?
Hi @ZoiKapota ,
Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
Would you mind providing us with some clarification in order for us to best assist you? When you mention the app doesn't let you create new announcements, do you mean you have the ability to write one out however it doesn't send out, or does no button exist?
Please make sure you're in the canvas teacher app and not the canvas student or parent app, too.
Hope to hear from you soon!
- Noah
Hi @ZoiKapota,
In addition to the questions @NoahBoswell asked, can you clarify which app you're using? If you're using the Canvas Student app, I don't think you'll have announcement creation features. The Canvas Teacher apps should have that functionality though according to the Canvas Teacher Mobile Features - Instructure Community - 388744 page.

Yes, it is still a CSV. I've tried removing all symbols…
With the new SpeedGrader UI, we are seeing student names appear in the page title even when the “Hide student names” setting is enabled. When using Classic Quizzes, there is no option within the quiz settings to enable anonymous grading, so we rely on instructors using the hide student names setting in SpeedGrader to…
Speedgrader chaning file name when being downloaded. Speedgrader: When downloading a submitted assignment, the file name is being changed to an unrecognizable name — (Student's actual name was part of the file name — changed for privacy.) Ideas???
We are all familiar with the standard Course Calendar, where assignment due dates are automatically added. However, at my institution, we structure our assignments as Challenges that develop over a period of time, rather than just a single deadline. Currently, the calendar only highlights the "end point." It would be a…
