Why can't we embed images in Canvas group emails?

The Canvas Inbox currently has a pretty basic text editor (no functionality like what you'd experience using the Canvas RCE - Rich Content Editor). There is a long-standing request, however, for the Inbox interface to utilize the RCE. You can find that feature request here: [Inbox] Add rich-content editor to Conversations - Instructure Community - 357121. As you can see from this request, there is a lot of conversation from the past several years about this, so if you have some time, check out what folks are saying...as well as some of the feedback received directly from Instructure.
I know this isn't a direct answer to your question, but I hope that it helps in some way to shed some light on this kind of request.
It'd be nice to be able to limit auto-feedback to section so that when working on feedback in class, your feedback is given by actual classmates rather than students in different sections. This would make it so that the students could ask their classmates questions about the feedback in person!
I think it would be nice to have the option to make the WYSIWYG editor the full height (instead of a fixed position when you open the assignment editor). Then just have the editor tools stick to the top of the page as you scroll through the assignment. This would make is so that you don't have a tiny view to work with that…
Screen readers seem to read out the LaTex and not the equation.
Whenever possible, I prefer to have my students take in-class quizzes and tests on their laptops. But to make sure that they do it in the classroom, I've always put a password on the assessment and then given them the password. That way they can't take it somewhere else on their own (or somewhere else, not on their own).…
I use Respondus 4.0 for loading questions to my pools in Bb and now that we have moved to Canvas, I want to load them to an Item Bank. However, to do this, I need to have them downloadable as a QTI 2.1 option. My options or limited. #1 I can load to a Classic Quiz which my university does not prefer, download the questions…
