Can I, as a teacher, upload a student's assignment to CANVAS on their behalf? In other words, if a student sends me an assignment via email, can I upload their work to CANVAS? Or that something only a student can do?

Yes, this is possible. However, your school's Canvas administrator has to have the permission enabled in order for instructors to do this. Here is the document that you would need once the permission has been enabled:

Thanks for the post Chris. I have never had to do this before until today. Figured it was in the instructors guide, but tried a quick search here first. Right now it looks like we do not have it turned on, so it may not matter. I'll wait and see what the Canvas admins say.

As "Ideas" section is gone (at least for now), I'm posting a feature request here. Mobile app shows a list of students who have submitted or not submitted a quiz/assignment. Would be good to have this in web version as well as way to export csv.
