Are the good folks at Canvas considering amending the “Canvas Instructor Guide” to include how-tos for using AI to build things in Canvas courses?
A few examples might be:
- Using AI to Generate Quizzes and Upload to Canvas
A step-by-step tutorial on how to use AI to create quizzes based on course material, export them in a compatible format, and upload them directly into Canvas.
- Creating Effective Rubrics with AI and Adding Them to Canvas
A step-by-step tutorial on how to use AI to generate rubrics with clear criteria and ratings for various assignment types; importing would be a simple copy/paste into Canvas rubrics.
Perhaps a good way to start would be by identifying a top 3-5 list of topics (easy to manage a short list as these technologies are ever evolving), with maybe plans to add more over time. While these tutorials may seem lengthy at first, they could be written in a terse style that would still be clear to instructors or instructional designers.
