The answer to this is going to vary based on how things work between Canvas and your other school/institution systems (if any).
In most situations, enrollments some through some kind of integration with a student information system (Banner, Peoplesoft, Powerschool, etc...). If this is how things work at your school/institution, you'd generally need to work with someone in the registration area of your school/institution to correct the issue in the student information system, which would usually then also correct it in Canvas after a short time.
If you're running a free-for-teacher Canvas, or a course where students were all manually added, you'd generally just remove students form the wrong course and add them to the correct course using the Canvas People area.
