When the quiz is an 'external tool' and it is a multiple answer (checkbox) type of questions, does the 3 point means there are only 3 answers?
Also, if I answer chose more than 3 checkboxes, will it affect my overall score?
By external tool I suppose it is about "New quizzes" in Canvas. It depends on the settings in the quiz. When you create a quiz, you can set it so that people only get points if they choose the right answers, that is, you get zero points if you choose too many or too few (Exact match). A multiple answer question can also be set to "Partial credit with penalty". It means that if you have a three-point question with three correct answers and you only choose two correct answers - you get one point.

I've seen old posts regarding this question. Can Admin users generate pairing codes on behalf of students?
It is possible to import tags or other metadata when importing in a QTI file? I've tried everything I can think of, but it seems to get stripped out every time. Are any metadata types allowed? Here is my setup: A 4-point assignment is the source for the Mastery Path. Students scoring 75–100% are assigned a Solutions item. The Solutions…

In the past I have also used Moodle as an LMS and they included a feature that could grade the units listed after the numerical…
