I'm wondering if there is a way to add a new field in the registration place in Canvas. For example, adding social security number, or some other uniqe number?

I am sorry that your question has gone so long without a reply.
I am fairly certain that custom fields aren't able to be added to the registration. However you could still check with your CSM to verify, they would definitely be able to get you that information.

Which "registration place" are you referring to? Are you using the "Free for teachers" version of Canvas, or is your organization running its own Canvas or Catalog server?
