As a "Teacher" on canvas, how am I able to add the "student" or "designer" role if it is not already available in the drop down menu. Attached below is a picture.
The option either comes up blank, or with other roles I do not want to add.
Hello Jasmine,
This is an admin feature that has to be turned on for you in a Teacher Role. I would reach out to your admin at your institution to request for the ability to add Students to that course.
Found it: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Admin-Guide/How-do-I-add-a-course-level-role-in-the-Permissions-page/ta-p/178
Can you indicate where the Course Roles are located as the image depicts? I couldn't find it in Settings > Course Details and other tabs.
Thank you.
Robert
Whenever possible, I prefer to have my students take in-class quizzes and tests on their laptops. However, to do this, I need to have them downloadable as a QTI 2.1 option. My options or limited. #1 I can load to a Classic Quiz which my university does not prefer, download the questions…
Known issue - headings Just wanted to note that this known issue is described as 'styling', when it is actually an accessibility issue. Headings are structure on the page and essential for users who rely on screenreaders.
It is possible to import tags or other metadata when importing in a QTI file? I've tried everything I can think of, but it seems to get stripped out every time. Are any metadata types allowed? I can bring in a batch of tags questions or manually tag each one. Tagging each one is not an option. I'm using New Quizzes, so I…
I'm testing whether Mastery Paths can be used to give students early access to an item based on their score, while making the same item available to everyone else on a later date. Here is my setup: A 4-point assignment is the source for the Mastery Path. Students scoring 75–100% are assigned a Solutions item. The Solutions…
