Hello,
When I try to create a new page, I get this message:
Failed to Create New Item
Is there a fix for this?
James
Hi there, @JamesLarson ...
That doesn't sound like normal Canvas behavior. Have you tried reaching out to the Canvas Support folks to see if they might be able to help you troubleshoot this issue? That's what I would first recommend.
How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?
Also, have you ensured that your browser is up-to-date? Generally speaking, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are good options when navigating around the Canvas environment. You can run a browser check by visiting this page: What are the browser and computer requirements for Instructure products?.
Also, try clearing your browser history/cache. After you do that, close your browser, re-start the browser, and then log back in to Canvas. Try creating the new page again to see if you get the same error.
Hopefully you'll be able to get this resolved soon. Please keep us posted here in the Community so that we know how you were able to get things fixed...thanks!
Here is a screenshot from an attempt to create a new Athena account. What does it mean when it says "supports open Canvas connections" or "Canvas Connection Open"? Can we close our Canvas instance to connections?
Is having students read the textbook considered an assignment or an activity if there is no grade but a required date?
Hoping someone can explain for me. We're using pacing to avoid manually dating regular assignments each quarter, but the dates I see are based on when the course was instantiated, while students see dates based on when they were added to the course by [backend software I don't know anything about, presumably]. If I set…

Ours is currently in the form of an email that already exists, becoming a new user - and not automatically merging with the user ID with the same email that also is linked to our SIS ID correctly as well. For example, user 1 is xyz@gmail.com without a…

However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
