How do I get to the rich content editor to make a video to post for a discussion within the class?
Hello @DawnPearch41006188 …
Here is a guide for you to look at: https://community.instructure.com/en/kb/articles/662908-how-do-i-access-the-rich-content-editor
Now, there are a whole lot more guides about the RCE, and you can find them under the heading "Rich Content Editor (RCE)" on this page:
What is Canvas? - Instructure Community
There are guides under that heading on how to add media (such as videos) to your discussion postings. I hope this will be helpful to you.
Chris has aimed you at some great resources above, and that includes How do I record media using the Rich Content Editor? . I think that's the one you'll find most helpful for making a video in a discussion post, @DawnPearch41006188.
Depending on what your school has, you might not be able to use the record media option that @JenMurphyA.
If your school has that option turned off, check to see if they have something like Canvas Studio for videos. If they have Canvas Studio, there are lots of guides available to help, including from in the RCE.

Hi all, When uploading a SCORM package and outputting as an assignment, full screen works within the package. However when outputted as a page, it doesn't. Anyone found a getaround that isn't "just use the assignment option??"

Específicamente, al intentar modificar una pregunta y eliminar una de sus opciones de respuesta, el sistema no permite ejecutar dicha acción. Con el fin de descartar…
Our institution is setting up 9 institutional outcomes in Canvas. Several of our outcomes have multiple skill sets within the rubric. For example: Critical Reading – Skill Set A Critical Reading – Skill Set B Critical Reading – Skill Set C Our understanding is that Canvas Outcomes data reports can provide the overall/total…
I am just curiousas to why there is not a field to enter a description for an outcome at the account level? Or at least edit the rating when you attach/link an account level outcome to a rubric. When you create a new criterion for a rubric, you enter a decription for a rating, but for an account level outcome.
We use a pre- post- model to measure learning which requires student-question matching from two time periods. This requires exporting quiz data to CSV to do the analysis properly. (I can get into more detail if needed.) The New Quizzes Student Analysis CSV export has repeated blocks of ItemID then columns related to that…
