Enhancements Regarding "Inactive" students

Question

When students drop the course, they show up in People as "Inactive"

It would be nice if there was a way to filter them out of that list. The simplest way would likely be to have the Roles drop down list have two options, one for All Students and one for Active Students.

On the teacher activity report, it would be nice if it at least showed which students are inactive. Being able to filter them out would also be nice here.

While this is not an "official" Instructure solution, I'd highly recommend that you check out the Canvas LMS Mods (Basic) Chrome Extension developed by a fellow Community user @Code-with-Ski.  That extension adds a "hide inactive" filter checkbox to the People page, along with a lot of other nice things.

@DarrenCroft88511814 I think that part of the situation is how your institution handles drops. We fully remove the enrollments from a course when they are dropped, rather than marking as inactive.

That said, I am sure there are others in your shoes and would like the ability to hide inactives. You might want to think about putting this idea in through the Collaborative Roadmap.
