Canvas deploys contain code changes that are intended to fix bugs, improve performance, and prepare for new features. These deploys take place every two weeks and can be tested in the beta environment before the production deploy date indicated in the title of this document.

Summary

Summary
In Account Settings, admins can add a primary and secondary security contact. This contact receives security related updates on behalf of the institution.
Note: Security contact fields are editable by all LMS administrators with access to account settings. Caution is advised when overriding existing contact information entered by another admin. When a security contact is replaced, the previous contact receives an email notification. Instructure communicates security-related messages to the listed recipient.
Change Benefit
Reliable security communication: Ensures security notices reach the right people at the institution, with a secondary contact as backup if the primary is unavailable or changes roles.
Feature Workflow
In Account Settings, admins should add a Primary Security Contact [1] and have the option to add a Secondary Security Contact [2].
