Moderated Discussions

Question

I'm afraid I know the the answer before I ask, but is there any crafty workaround to create a moderated discussion that requires instructor permission before posting? Everything I'm finding says nada. To be clear, this is a before the post, not a remove afterward.

Must be marked as done is a great idea. Another option, @RobertGibson, is to make the requirement for the prior item a quiz or assignment that has to be submitted (or a minimum score achieved) before students can access the discussion.

Interesting and valid question - try module prerequisites and create an activity classed as 'must be marked' ?
