Embeds being blocked?

Hi all, I'm posting this here though we are using the Canvas Career instance because I think it's not specifically a Career issue. All of the embeds we have in our course are being blocked. It's fine in the admin view but when we view as learners, they are blocked (looking at the code, no links or URLs or iframes are visible.) We are pulling from our Sharepoint which is up and running and we are all logged in appropriately. Anyone else having this issue? This is a live course so I'm a little discombobulated over here!

I would recommend reviewing the Security Incident Update & FAQs for the most recent information. I believe that current settings could be getting in the way due to the recent incident.

@mmorrow If you are using Chrome or Edge, try a right click on the page and select 'Inspect.'

Select the 'Console' tab.

Reload the page having the issue.

If you see a 'Refuse to Connect' error, then it's a setting in Sharepoint called 'Enable External Domain Embedding'.

If its not that error, it will at least give you a little more detail to help with the troubleshooting.

Thank you. This is what I see in Chrome so no specific "Refuse to Connect" error. I'll ask IT if they can check Sharepoint for that setting. The weird thing is that it was working fine before the outage.

@mmorrow We are also experiencing this issue in Canvas Career. We reached out to support and are waiting on a fix. Looks like this is just happening in Canvas Career, not classic Canvas. We have several active courses/learners impacted, so this is a major issue for us too. hoping

Thanks, @Paola_Sanchez! I thought it was something on our end but was not able to identify it. Glad to hear it's not us! And yeah, our course is live with over 20 attorneys trying to use it. :( I would unpublish it but we've already got a few folks completing skills and assessments so that's not an option.

Student PDF not visible in speedgrader but only when downloaded
