Hello! I work with a program that uses a "professionalism modifier" on its students' grades, where faculty can deduct points for poor, non-academic behavior by multiplying the grade by a percentage—i.e., if the faculty wants to reduce a student's grade by 10% for unprofessional behavior, they can multiple the student's final grade in a course by 0.90. Traditionally, they have done this adjustment outside of Canvas and just manually adjusted the student's final grade when entering final grades for the semester.
One of my faculty has asked if it would be possible to do this adjustment in Canvas. She wants there to be a column in the gradebook that will automatically multiple every student's grade by 1, so the grade stays the same, and if she needs to use the modifier, she can change the 1 to a 0.90 and adjust the grade by 10%, or whatever multiple she wants to do. I'm positive she can't do this column multiplier in the gradebook, and after doing a lot of Googling, I'm almost positive that there's no way to auto-adjust the student's grade in some other way. Am I missing something, and it would be possible to do this?
