Confirm? Question Groups are impossible in NQ

Instructional designer here. I'm working with a faculty member who wants to set up her final exams as she did in D2L - organizing questions into groups/sections for each week of the semester, but WITHOUT using banks of any kind. As far as I can tell, this was a feature in Classic Quizzes but not New Quizzes.

I will tell her that she must use Item Banks if she wants this type of organization, but since that means creating 15 individual banks per exam, I wanted to check here first in case I missed something.

This is correct. There is no option for "Question Groups" in New Quizzes. With the transition to New Quizzes, Item Banks replace in-quiz groups. You can review a full comparison of Classic Quizzes vs. New Quizzes features.

Note that when migrating a classic Quiz to a New Quiz, "Question groups with manually created questions migrate as item banks in New Quizzes."
