Rubric no longer collapses

Previously on the built-in rubrics, vertical view, the rubric items were collapsed. You could expand them to see details of each point value. Now they are expanded by default and I see no way to collapse them. When a teacher is grading 20 of the same assignment, he or she knows what each point value entails. By having them all expanded all the time, I have to scroll all the way to the top to see if the grade registered correctly before moving on the the next student. This sounds like a small thing but actually is very time consuming. With each category collapsed, it´s a quick glance to see if the grade registered correctly.

The new rubric interface expands all criteria by default, which significantly slows grading workflows for instructors who are already familiar with the rubric. A collapse/expand toggle or compact view would greatly improve grading efficiency, especially when using SpeedGrader for large cohorts.

Currently, rubrics cannot be collapsed in the new Canvas rubric view. This is a known usability limitation, and the best path forward is to submit or support a feature request while using temporary workflow adjustments.
