How do I stop the feedback window from covering the question in New Quizzes?

Hi everyone,

I am creating a New Quiz and adding feedback for students to see after they submit. When I open the feedback window, it sits directly on top of the quiz question. Once it opens, I cannot see the question anymore while I am writing the feedback.

Is there any way to avoid this or change the layout so the question and the feedback area are both visible?

This is an accessibility issue and it also interferes with instructor workflow. It makes it difficult to create meaningful, accurate feedback when I cannot see the question I am responding to.

If anyone has suggestions or a workaround, I would really appreciate it.

I can see where this could be an issue. I logged in to my own sandbox course and tried to create a multiple choice question in New Quizzes using similar feedback options. Unfortunately, I was not able to adjust the size of the window that appears over the answer choices. However, I do have a bit of a work-around that might work for your needs. It requires that you open the same New Quiz in a different tab within your browser. In the first (original tab), just have your New Quiz open so that you can see the answer choices for your question. In the new tab, go to the area for the question where you can add content "For a correct answer", "For an incorrect answer", and "Provide general feedback (regardless of answer)". Enter in any content in those text boxes, and then save (click "Done") your changes. Then, click "Done" again to save the changes of the question. You should then be able to close that tab. Re-load the original tab, and everything you added from the new tab should now be there for you. This process essentially allows you to toggle back and forth between tabs so you can see the answer selections.

Now, there's even another way you can do this without tabs, and I know you can do it in the Microsoft Edge browser (and maybe Google Chrome, too). In Edge, you can use the "Split screen" option. In my own Edge browser, I clicked on the three horizontal dots near the top right corner of the screen. Then, I selected "Split screen". This allows me to keep my original screen open on the left, and then on the right side, I can display whatever other website (in this case, a Canvas course) I want. This is what that might look like:
