I am seeking a function or tool that enables instructors to automate weekly messages to learners, which include a list or summary of the feedback they received throughout the week. I hear from students and other instructors that feedback gets "lost" in Canvas, especially when there are multiple assignments throughout the week (e.g., a discussion thread, an assignment, a component of the final project, etc.).
A colleague shared a system where all written feedback on student work is initially compiled into an Excel spreadsheet. Then, that content is "mailmerged" into individual feedback summary document templates, which are then emailed directly to each student. Especially for writing-heavy courses, this feels like it would offer students a helpful tool to review feedback on a more holistic level.
Does anyone know of something (LTI?) that would accomplish this?
