Disappearing Announcements

I have a teacher who created a course announcement for each day of school. Today, 10/15/25, is day 35. When he woke this morning, all previous announcements in his course were gone. I looked before he added his morning announcement, and the Announcement course navigation button showed the "grayed eye" indicating no announcements had been made, period.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Any suggestions?

Hi there @cheri_masters ,

While I personally have not experienced this issue (which is strange), if your teacher is in need of retrieving those announcements back, they can do so by going to the home page of their course and adding /undelete at the end of the URL. Example: school.instructure.com/courses/400/undelete.

Deleted announcements will appear there (you may have to scroll to find them) and you can undelete them there. If the announcements do not display, I think it's worth reaching out to technical support about, because again, this behavior is strange.
