I have a goal of providing more interaction and on page activities on Canvas pages. I have been looking into a few options and just found out about Clever LMS for Canvas. Has anyone used this and what are your thoughts?
Thanks
Jen
Hello @oneilllj,
Is this the Clever that you are talking about?
https://www.clever.com/app-gallery/canvas

If it is, Clever is not an LMS (learning management system). Clever is what is typically referred to as an SIS (student information system) and it is where user, course, registration, and grades information are stored. This information can then be extracted, transfers, and/or integrated with an LMS like Canvas. Sometimes institutions decide to send information (typically grades or user access logs) from the LMS back to the SIS. Another example would be Banner, which is made by Ellucian.
If you are talking about something else, can you please provide a link to it.

For the question at hand though, I do not have any experience with Clever.
We use Clever to roster for different tools that might not be integrated with Canvas. That's how students and teachers access those specific tools. But Canvas is our LMS.
Breakout Discussions would enable instructors to orchestrate multi-phase discussions that mirror effective classroom facilitation patterns. An instructor creates a master discussion topic, then segments participants into small breakout groups for focused conversation, and finally reconvenes everyone into a unified thread…
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
Among all the things that I wish Canvas had is that one! Is it something that is been worked on? We had it in Blackboard (legacy) and I sorely miss and need in Canvas (we just transitioned to it from Bb). Please add this very needed feature!
My Canvas shell has three different sections that all meet at different times throughout the week. I need to be able to batch edit assignment due dates by section, but right now Canvas can't filter by section for batch edit. My only option is now to manually (tediously) edit due dates for each assignment individually.
Morning! One of the more frustrating aspects of Canvas are groups and the issues that show up when copying courses that have them. But now we have yet another issue. Most recently we have had instances where people mark an assignment/discussion as a group assignment but then do not link the discussion or assignment to any…
