Hi there does anyone know if marks can be scheduled for a time to be posted? Eg: marks are loaded during the day but would like the marks to be held until the end of the school day to minimise disrupting students while in other classes.
Hi @BronwynJackson - Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately there is specific feature to give Canvas LMS a "default/scheduled" time to release marks, I would suggest investigating the Grade Posting Policy via this community article How do I use posting policies in a course? You can use posting policies in the Gradebook to manage assignment grade visibility for students. Posted grades are visible to students in your course. Hidden grades are visible to you in the course gradebook, but students cannot see them.This can be set at the assignment or for the entire course allowing teachers to have the confidence to "post" grades at a time that makes the most sense. Enjoy!
Sounds like awesome idea and thank you for posting. I'd suggest searching the Ideas for Canvas LMS first and if nothing fits your idea, then suggest lodging via How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Community?
@BronwynJackson - I found this as well: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Ideas/Gradebook-Settings-quot-Grade-Release-Date-quot-Option-in/idi-p/425490
I'm an Admin in Canvas, and I'd like to know if it's possible to change the order of items in the Account menu. Now, we have: -ePortfolio (Legacy) -Shared Items -Portfolio We'd like to have Portfolio above ePortfolio (Legacy), to encourage people to use that, but I can't find a way to do it.
We are testing a third party integration from our college's ERP provider. We have connected it to our test environment. It seems to have very few features and options. So, just wondering if there is a way to monitor API calls. I was able to use the DAPClient in Python to download canvas_logs in our production environment.…
Previously on the built-in rubrics, vertical view, the rubric items were collapsed. You could expand them to see details of each point value. Now they are expanded by default and I see no way to collapse them. When a teacher is grading 20 of the same assignment, he or she knows what each point value entails. By having them…
As "Ideas" section is gone (at least for now), I'm posting a feature request here. Mobile app shows a list of students who have submitted or not submitted a quiz/assignment. Would be good to have this in web version as well as way to export csv.
Could you please clarify about the URL structure for the new Canvas Portfolio feature after the retirement of the ePortfolios on June 30, 2026?
