Does anyone use an admin chrome extension or browser extension to check the history of SIS imports beyond the latest one? I used to have an extension called "Admin Tweaks," but it seems to be broken or not updated.
Hi @smathews,
I use the Chrome extension "Canvas LMS Mods (Basic)", made by @Code-with-Ski / @JamesSekcienski.
It is located at Canvas LMS Mods (Basic) - Chrome Web Store, with other information available at Creating a Chrome Extension to Use with Canvas LMS... - Instructure Community - 532935 and https://code-with-ski.github.io/Canvas-LMS_Mods-Website.
I have the extension configured so that it does not load automatically and it is set to "On Click".

I have not used the extension in question, but you can view the history of SIS imports by simply navigating to the SIS Imports page and then appending an "s" to the URL, i.e. "https://
What you get back is in JSON format, but if you have a JSON parser plugin for your browser, it's quite easy to review the previous SIS imports, and even to grab copies of logs and SIS import feed files...

After the cyber attack, some of my embedded images aren't showing up in quizzes. It seems to just be one of my classes, in particular, and the others were fixed on Monday. Anybody know what 3 of my classes were fixed, but the fourth one (Geometry) won't show the images in the quizzes?
Hi everyone, I've got several pages and assignments where I use frames to embed videos and interactive resources. But whenever I go into editing, the formatting in some of them breaks down: the video size shrinks down, or I'm left with an empty blank space. I think I've narrowed down the cause of this issue: Some of these…
The most recent quizzes and question banks (including renames) are not showing up as options in the Course Import Tool. As I was creating a new quiz in one course (Classic), I went to add the questions from the Question Bank, but what I needed wasn't there. I went back to the other course to make sure everything was…
In the wake of the recent Canvas security incident, many instructors are rethinking how they protect their course materials and ensure continuity for students if the LMS becomes unavailable. A common question we’re hearing is how to effectively back up courses “just in case,” especially with an eye toward re‑distributing…
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
