Request for Updated Canvas Tutorial Video & Spanish Version

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the process of creating a new course and have been using the Canvas tutorial video as a reference. I noticed that the video states it will expire in December 2025, and I wanted to ask if there is a more updated version available or if an updated version will be released soon.

Additionally, I’m developing the course in both English and Spanish to better serve our Spanish-speaking students. Is there a Spanish version of the Canvas tutorial video available, or any resources you would recommend for Spanish-speaking learners?

I appreciate any guidance or resources you can share , thank you in advance!

Instructure is replacing the current video guides with "Shorts" that are available within the manuals.

See their announcement with more information on What's Next for Instructure Video Guides? - Instructure Community - 639943, as well as a mapping between the old and new videos in Overview Video Guides Replacements - Instructure Community - 639869.

 

From a quick look in some guides it doesn't look like they are available in Spanish.
See, for example, the English SpeedGrader guide which has a Short, and the Spanish SpeedGrader guide which does not.
I don't know Instructure's plans, but since these videos are made with AI tools (see the blog post in the first link above), it's possible that they'll have them made in other languages too.
Guidde, the software they mention, claims to be able to translate to "over 30 languages".
