I have not seen an option to create flashcards natively in Canvas. The functionality may exist through code if your institution has opened up the ability to mess with some advanced features (many do not unlock those features). You are otherwise looking at 3rd-party tools.
If you go to your course Settings and find the Apps tab (if that is available for you), search for the word "flash" to find something called Flash Reference. This does add the ability to create flashcards for use, but I'm not sure it will interact with QLearn. I do not see an app for QLearn, which would make sense since QLearn appears to be another LMS like Canvas.
If you are needing something that works with QLearn, you will probably want to look through their documentation and resources to see if there is a flashcard tool that would work for their interface.
Hello @bschu107 ...
I don't know if your school has purchased the DesignPLUS add-on from Cidi Labs that integrates with Canvas, but they have a tool within their DesignPLUS Sidebar called "Flip Cards". Unfortunately, it does not integrate with any other product (such as QLearn) that I know of. It's more of an interactive thing for instructors to create in their courses for students. You can see what they look like by checking out this past newsletter: February 2025 Newsletter | Cidi Labs.
I know this might not be exactly what you are looking for, but when you mentioned "flash cards", this was the first thing that came to mind. I hope it helps in some way.
Hi @bschu107,
I do not have experience with it but I came across H5P Content Creation: Flashcards, and Importing into Canvas | Resources for Independent Learning Instructors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2019.
I also came across this Google Slides option described at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyOXF0gU6-k. After creating the Google Slide presentation, you could embed it into a Canvas page using the guidance from https://help.gcisd.net/hc/en-us/articles/4410773178643-Canvas-Embedding-Google-Slides.
I hope you find these options to be helpful.

My Canvas shell has three different sections that all meet at different times throughout the week. I need to be able to batch edit assignment due dates by section, but right now Canvas can't filter by section for batch edit. My only option is now to manually (tediously) edit due dates for each assignment individually.
Morning! One of the more frustrating aspects of Canvas are groups and the issues that show up when copying courses that have them. But now we have yet another issue. Most recently we have had instances where people mark an assignment/discussion as a group assignment but then do not link the discussion or assignment to any…
So, we have encountered a few assignments where the Speedgrader presents the teacher with the "Empty Course" page, even though the course is not empty. I have discovered two New Quizzes in the same course where this has occurred, despite multiple students being assigned (at Module level, which passes the permission down to…
A teacher has expressed concerns with the recent update. Exact concern is as follows: "My Canvas has been acting glitchy since the last "update." For instance, when I grade essays the highlight and cursor tools do not always work. I have to try highlighting several times,or come back later to finish. It's told me I "ran…
A recent change my students have been complaining about is that they now have to wait for Canvas to process submissions so that it can be displayed within the browser before they can check that the submission worked. When the servers are heavily loaded I have seen student need to wait 5 minutes for this. When submitting at…
