Shorthand grading

Question

When I insert grades into Canvas, I can type EX for an excused assignment without going through the extra steps in the drop down list.

Is there a shorthand key for typing in Missing such as M when entering grades without going through the dropdown list?

Hi @LaShiantePhilli,

You should be able to type MI in the grade box to assign the missing status.  This was a feature added bac in 2023 (see Canvas Deploy Notes (2023-01-04) - Instructure Community - 549091 for more info).
