How can you change a student's grade after the final submission?
Hi @BlissKohlmyer,
Welcome to the Instructure Community! Unfortunately, this is not a question we can really answer here as this is a global community made up of Canvas and other Instructure product users from around the world. You will need to get in contact with someone at your school/institution (likely in the registration/records area) to get the most accurate answer since this will be handled differently everywhere.
I hope this info helps even though it's not an exact answer for you. Please feel free to come back and ask other questions in the future, especially if they are technical questions about Canvas or other products.

@chriscas 's answer is perfect if, by final submission, you mean the grades have been finalized for the course. If your course is still active (for example, my class ends on Friday but grades are due by early January), and you are referring to their final submission of a particular assignment, you can just go into Speedgrader to enter a new grade. Just wanted to make sure we provided both options depending on what you meant by final submission.
A and B are each actually areas of the workshop with a different emphasis. Having the students split between areas makes equipment access easier. How do I allow students to choose between working in area A for the first half of the term, then area B for the second half of the term, or the opposite, while using Course…
Hoping someone can explain for me. We're using pacing to avoid manually dating regular assignments each quarter, but the dates I see are based on when the course was instantiated, while students see dates based on when they were added to the course by [backend software I don't know anything about, presumably]. If I set…
Has anyone else had issues with an influx of duplicate users in Canvas? Ours is currently in the form of an email that already exists, becoming a new user - and not automatically merging with the user ID with the same email that also is linked to our SIS ID correctly as well. For example, user 1 is xyz@gmail.com without a…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
I have a student that was in a tag called "ac" and recently moved him to a different tag, "AC." I did ensure the old tag was removed; however on a canvas PAGE he sees both pages the "ac" and "AC" Canvas Pages. I removed the assigned tags to the page and the one tag to the student thinking maybe if I remove and reassign…
