Who is Instructure?

Hi. I'm new to Canvas and keep seeing references in the forum about Instructure.

Who are they and what role do they play in creating Canvas?

And how can I suggest changes? It's week 04 of our move to Canvas, and I really miss Blackboard. There was so much more flexibility and control over how I designed and graded my course. 

(Also why are so many of the panda avatars so creepy looking?)

Good morning,

Instructure is the parent company, and Canvas is a specific product that they offer among a suite of other products. Like Microsoft and Windows, as an analog.

To make suggestions for changes to the Canvas platform, you can submit an Idea to be (hopefully) included in an upcoming theme. This page describes the Idea to Theme to Enhancement process.
