I think this is a question that you're going to need to ask your instructor about. Unfortunately, we here in the Canvas Community do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or any of your courses. So, it's hard to know how your instructor might have groups set up ... for example if your instructor assigned you to specific groups ... or if you have to join a group on your own.
